CasaNova, a residential tower in Rotterdam designed by Barcode Architects, is completed. Totalling at 22.000m² the project was developed for VOF Wijnhaven 65 and Wilma Wonen with SBB Ontwikkelen en Bouwen serving as the main contractor. Located at Wijnhaven 65 the building offers 116 apartments, commercial space, as well other amenities shared with the Muse building next door. Shared spaces include a 1,600m² rooftop garden and a kitchen, hotel rooms for guests, co-working spaces, meeting rooms, a fitness area, parking facilities, and a parcel service room.
CasaNova was developed in alliance with the KCAP's urban plan, which stipulates that for every square metre of ground, 22m³ of the building may be returned. This led to an unusual shape that gives the apartments spectacular 300-degree views over the city and 15m² balconies, designed as an outdoor room of the living space.
Pieters Bouwtechniek, ABT, and VGG advised on the project.
