Carrefour opens 10 new stores in Poland

Carrefour has launched 10 new stores, including 8 Carrefour Express this year in Poland. As a result, the Polish Carrefour chain now operates nearly 700 convenience stores all across the country. Most of the stores are franchise outlets developed in cooperation with local entrepreneurs.

"We are successively continuing the expansion of the chain of convenience stores, mainly through cooperation with franchise partners. Thanks to the large variety of formats, we are able to adjust the offer to each location, be it a city or a small town, or the countryside, and above all the needs of a local customer," said Krzysztof Łagowski, director of Convenience Shops at Carrefour Polska.

Among 8 new Carrefour Express stores, 5 operate in large cities such as Warsaw, Krakow or Wroclaw. The new format store has alos opened in Lubon, and at petrol stations in Oswiecim and Deba Polski. Carrefour Express stores offer around 3,000 items, including a selected range of fresh products: vegetables, dairy products and ready meals. Customers can also drink coffee, eat a quick snack or buy take-away food. More and more often, when shopping, they can also pick up a parcel or pay bills. In turn, thanks to the "My Carrefour" application, they take advantage of numerous discount offers. The click & collect service is also being gradually implemented in stores.
