WING has selected Bernecker Kft to renovate the renowned EuroCenter shopping mall located in Budapest, Hungary. The shopping centre has closed for the duration of the renovations and is scheduled to reopen in spring 2022. Located at the intersection of Becsi ut and Vorosvari ut in District 3, EuroCenter has been owned by WING since 2018. The consistent development of the district as well as the northern Buda area, and the increasing purchasing power of the nearby suburban areas and the corresponding changing demands justify the decision to revamp the building after more than twenty years. Once complete, the modern complex will cater for needs currently unmet in the area, offering visitors a premium shopping and leisure time experience.
Owing to its flexible layout, its community spaces and a wide range of entertainment and culinary services, the renewed shopping centre – with its 46,000m² of floor space – may become the number one experience centre and popular meeting place of North Buda in the future. Inspired by an environmentally conscious approach, the complex will offer bicycle storage facilities and electric car charging stations among others. Visitors will also have access to public transport solutions.
This is owner and developer WING's fourth shopping centre development project after successfully completing Agria Park in Eger, the Hegyvidek Shopping Centre in Buda and the partial renovation and repositioning of MOM Park.
