Arrow acquires two Dutch logistics assets

Arrow Capital Partners has acquired two logistic assets in the Netherlands on behalf of its €3bn Strategic Industrial Real Estate (SIRE) joint venture with Cerberus. The assets were purchased in separate transactions for a total of circa €20m.

Hoensbroek, a 14,445m² last-mile logistics development, is Arrow’s first development project in the Netherlands, which will be developed by Merle Vastgoed in close consultation with Arrow Capital Partners. With the development expected to be complete in Q2 of 2023, DC De Koumen is pre-let on a long-term lease to Fource, the distributor of car parts, lubricants, and tools. The completed warehouse will include 12 loading docks, and two-level doors and will be constructed to a BREEAM excellent rating.

The second asset located at Damsluisweg 6 in Almere consists of a 10,092m²  logistics asset located in an excellent last-mile location serving the Amsterdam area. The facility is currently fully-let to L.I.S. Logistics, which provides a variety of logistics services to businesses across the Netherlands.

Commenting on the acquisitions, Martien van Deursen, Head of Benelux at Arrow Capital Partners, said: “These acquisitions reflect the increasing demand in and around the Netherlands’ large metropolitan areas for strong last-mile logistics space. This demand is behind our move to incorporate more developments like DC De Koumen in the SIRE portfolio pipeline. In addition to land suitable for development, we continue to search for assets like Damsluisweg 6, which have strong locations and the potential to add value to existing logistics space in the future.”
