Altera Vastgoed acquires regional supermarket (NL)

Altera Vastgoed has recently added a new supermarket to its portfolio. This investment, located in the municipality of Nijmegen, comprises 500m² and is part of the full renovation of the Meijhorst neighbourhood shopping centre by Ten Brinke Broers Projectontwikkeling BV. Albert Heijn opened its doors at the start of April and is situated on the south side of the shopping centre, in the Dukenburg city district. The supermarket is adjacent to a car park with approximately 150 free parking spaces. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Jaap van der Bijl, CEO of Altera, commented: “The addition of this newly constructed supermarket to our portfolio is part of our plan to further our investment strategy that is fully focused on food & convenience. This strategy is a great fit for institutional investors: a higher direct return on investment, sustainable, and less sensitive to e-commerce and cyclical economic changes.”
