Workspace Design Show returns to Amsterdam with future-focused vision for 2025

Following its successful debut in 2023, the Workspace Design Show is set to return to the Dutch capital on 5-6 November 2025, positioning itself as a crucial platform for workplace innovation in a rapidly evolving market. The two-day event at RAI Amsterdam will gather the industry's most forward-thinking voices to address pressing challenges facing workplace designers, occupiers and investors.

With workplace utilisation rates continuing to fluctuate post-pandemic, the exhibition is critical for commercial property investors seeking to future-proof assets against changing occupier demands. Strategies for repurposing underperforming office assets a topic of increasing concern as prime yields face pressure across European markets -will be absent from previous discussions but featured prominently this year.

The comprehensive programme spans three dedicated conference stages - Workspace Design Talks, Occupiers Forum, and Sustainability Talks - featuring representatives from global occupiers including Booking.com, Amazon, Zoom, and Ubisoft, alongside design leaders from Gensler, UNStudio, HENN, CBRE, Colliers, and Arcadis.

"The workplace has transcended its traditional definition to become an ecosystem of experiences that must compete with the comfort of remote working," says Emma Johnson, Programme Director at Workspace Design Show. "Our 2025 edition specifically addresses how design, technology and hospitality principles can combine to create spaces that people genuinely want to occupy."

Attendees will gain insights into practical applications of emerging technologies such as AI-powered space optimisation, connected data systems for energy efficiency, and design approaches that blend professional and social purposes. With average fit-out costs in Amsterdam's prime office districts now exceeding €1,500 per m², the event's focus on cost-effective sustainability strategies will be particularly relevant for developers navigating stricter EU environmental regulations.
