Works begin on Panattoni Park Gdansk City Airport (PL)

Panattoni has begun work on Panattoni Park Gdansk City Airport, a new project in the district of Pomerania. The development is being built on a speculative basis and will comprise two modern distribution buildings with a combined area of over 18,400m2.

Being located in the direct vicinity of Gdansk Airport and within 3km of the Tricity bypass, the centre has excellent connections to both local and international transport infrastructure. It is around 20km from the seaport and the Baltic Hub Deepwater Container Terminal while being just 13km from the centre of the city. Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport will comprise two buildings, one of 14,702m2 and the other of 4,351m2.

As its transport infrastructure continues to be developed and extended, Gdańsk has become a very attractive city for business where demand for industrial space remains high. This is due to its location near one of the largest seaports in Europe. However, for our latest project, the neighbouring airport also plays an important role. Taken together with all of the other benefits of the location, this creates a unique combination of transport options for logistics operations,” explained Martyna Sochaczewska, the Leasing Director at Panattoni and she added: “Up till now, we have developed almost 700,000m2 of modern industrial space in the Tricity area. Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport is to be our latest park, which will not only take advantage of a superb location but will also contribute to the growth of the entire region by creating new jobs and strengthening Tricity’s position as one of the continent’s important logistics points.”

Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport is to undergo BREEAM certification for a rating of Excellent to confirm that it meets the highest standards of sustainable development. The latest technology is to be used in the project to save both water and energy while solutions are also to be applied to enhance user well-being including improved access to natural light with office space designed to provide thermal comfort as well as better acoustics and air quality.
