Trei completed €40m resi project in Mainz (DE)

Trei Real Estate GmbH (Trei) completed its “Fischerhof” residential project at the Zollhafen locality in Mainz. The property, which provides 88 modern apartments on a combined floor area of about 6,500m2 of residential area, has been under construction since September 2021 and is fully occupied. Its residential units consist of one to six rooms that are equipped with fitted kitchens, parquet floors and underfloor heating. The property includes 72 underground parking spots while bicycle parking spaces are available both inside and outside the building. Trei invested c. €40m in the project.

Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of Trei, commented: “The completion of Fischerhof fills us with pride because we finished yet another attractive residential development in an exclusive location. Its unique waterfront location, its great home amenities, and its proximity to the Frankfurt metro region prompted enormous demand among prospective tenants. At the same time, the project is a crucial contribution to the effort of creating urgently needed new homes in one of the most popular regions of Germany.”

The new urban quarter under development at the former customs port of Mainz is grouped around a port basin of around eight hectares next to the Rhine. The Fischerhof complex is part of the Hafeninsel II development site of around 5,500m2. The man-made canals marking the boundaries of the development site create a distinct waterfront ambience. An art project in the landscaped courtyard reinforces the maritime flair of the Fischerhof housing estate: Outdoor seating suggestive of waves is grouped around sculptures in the shape of buoys, tempting residents and visitors to take a break and linger. The urban art project was developed by Thomas Leu and implemented in collaboration with KUNST RAUM KONZEPTE.
