Corporate real estate professionals organization CoreNet Global has confirmed that this year’s EMEA Summit (Berlin, 15
th-17
th September) opening keynote
, “RETHINK: Mindset, Attitudes, and Value”, will be delivered by business speaker Nigel Barlow, author and associate fellow at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
The dynamic and interactive session will focus on creativity and innovation as applied to leadership, business strategy, customers and the future. The presentation will explore how professionals can be more innovative in a practical, everyday sense, focusing this insight to transition the conversation from merely price to cost, and ultimately, value.
This year’s Summit, which is expected to attract more than 500 senior corporate real estate players, has adopted the theme “Changing the Conversation from Cost to Value”, and will encourage and enable leaders to consider shifting the C-Suite conversation to that of value creation within organisations.
The conference programme has been designed to support and facilitate these conversations, with a topical agenda that includes peer-led presentations, education sessions and case studies from organisations such as RBS, Deloitte, Cisco, Unilever, Nokia, CBRE, Oracle, BBC and Johnson Controls.
In addition to the existing
MCR and
SLCR programs that will continue to focus mainly on the
technical aspects of the job, the primary responsibilities that are essential to a Corporate Real Estate (CRE) position, the Berlin Summit will also see the launch of a
Leadership Development Program that will enhance the value proposition, focusing on
leadership and soft-skill development within the context of the CRE and business environment.
Following a welcome reception on Monday, 15
th September, the Summit programme will take place over two full days on Tuesday 16
th and Wednesday 17
th September, comprising an extensive programme of presentations and workshops plus a full networking and corporate entertainment programme.
The annual CoreNet Global EMEA Summit is returning to Berlin for the second time, with the German Capital city having first hosted the event in 2008.
The Summit will take place at Hotel InterContinental, Berlin. Registration details are available from the
website.
