Start of Mahler 4 in Amsterdam ZuidAs area

On Monday 9 December the breaking ground ceremony for the Mahler 4 project in the Zuidas area in Amsterdam was performed. Mahler 4 provides around 160.000 m² offices, 200 houses, around 10,000 m² shops, restaurant establishments, exposition and presentation facilities and parking spaces for around 2,100 cars.

An urban atmosphere, alternated with small-scale details and special attention for the public space makes Mahler 4 into one dynamic area which is compared to Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and the Docklands in London. Several well-known companies, such as Houthoff Buruma, Boekel de Nerée and Expo Media Group have chosen to establish in Mahler 4.

With well-known names such as the WTC Amsterdam, ING, ABNAMRO, the University, the Forum building and in the future Gershwin and a completely new Station Zuid/WTC Mahler 4 places itself in the centre of the Zuidas.

The choice for international, renowned architects such as Rafaël Viñoly Architects PC (New York), Toyo Ito & Associates (Tokio), Nicholas Jacobs, Skidmore Owings & Merill (Londen), Michael Graves & Associates (Princeton), Medic & Puljiz and Architecten Cie. (Amsterdam) guarantees that Mahler 4 will distinguish itself now and in the future.

Mahler 4 is a cooperation between Fortis Vastgoed Ontwikkeling BV, GenS Vastgoed and ING Real Estate.
