SES postpones opening of ALEJA shopping centre (SI)

The public opening of the new ALEJA shopping centre in Ljubljana-Siska has been postponed due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. All stores, including those that would have been permitted to open in accordance with government regulation, will remain closed in order to prevent the gathering of large crowds of people. SES Spar European Shopping Centers is committed to complying with the Slovenian government’s decision as it will help curb exposure to COVID-19. A new opening date will be set at a later stage, as circumstances permit.

ALEJA, the most modern shopping centre in Slovenia, has been completed. Nevertheless, the opening of the 32,000m² shopping mall has been postponed in order to support the Slovenian government’s efforts to contain coronavirus.

“The health and safety of all people – customers and employees alike – is always our top priority. This decision is both important and necessary and has been made in collaboration with those tenants that would have been allowed to open despite COVID-19-related restrictions,” said Marcus Wild, CEO of SES Spar European Shopping Centers.
