Rodamco Europe, the largest publicly listed property investment and management company in the retail sector in Europe has recently sold two of its four office buildings in Barcelona, namely INBLAU A and INBLAU B to Royal Metropolitan for a total of € 27 million.
The INBLAU A and INBLAU B office buildings have a gross lettable area of 6,600 and 8,900 m² respectively. The INBLAU A office building was built in 2001 and has occupancy of 81% while INBLAU B does not have any tenants.
The sale of these two office building fits within Rodamco Europe´s strategy of focussing on top quality retail. Following these disposals, Rodamco Europe´s standing property portfolio in Spain totals € 1,012 million, of which 87% is retail properties, 11% industrial and 2% offices.
