The real estate fund Redevco has bought a logistic center of 10.000 mò near the airport of Prague. It concerns the first phase of Tulipán Park Logistics Center, a development by Grontmij. The logistic center is completely let for a long period (5 years with an potion for another 5 years) to two international companies: Otec and Valeo. Both parties for strategical reasons have not mentioned a price for take-over.
The Tulipán Logistics Center should ultimately comprise 80.000 mò. At this moment three new blocks of each 10.000 mò are being built, of which 5.000 mò has already been let.
Grontmij has been active in Central-Europe for some time now, both solitary and in joint venture with ING Real Estate, under the name Quendis. In the Hungarian capital Budapest, Grontmij developed amongst others the Anton P.H. Rynart Park of which 60.000 mò have been built already. The Dutch Transport Company Rynart Transport last week has officially taken it into use. This development, as well as the Rozália Park (also in two phases of in total 160.000 mò) is being developed by Dunec Engineering Contractors, the Hungarian subsidiary of Grontmij Real Estate. For the Anton P.H. Rynart Park a lease construction has been made between HVB, DIL and Grontmij.
