Rail network between airports of Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt

Schiphol Airport is presently developing plans to construct a substantial rail network, which will connect the airports of Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt by 2010.

By the end of 2003 as an experiment, the first freight train will travel between Schiphol and Frankfurt. The objective is that high-speed trains will ensure that perishable goods, such as flowers, and other airfreight will arrive quickly at its final desitnation.

Investment in the rail network would require Â'some millions of euroÂ'sÂ'. In this project Schiphol cooperates with 15 parties, amongst which Fraport, Paris, KLM and Air France.
