NSI postpones emission new shares

Nieuwe Steen Investments n.v. (NSI) announces that the emission of new shares, originally planned for the 4th quarter this year, has been postponed.

The increase of its portfolio has slowed down as new objects on the market do not comply with NSIÂ's quality demands. This makes the new emission not necessary.

However, management expects that during 2003 the portfolio will surpass the EUR 1 bln. It is then that it will reconsider a public emission again.

On September 1, 2002 the companyÂ's portfolio amounted to EUR 940 mln. Direct investment result per share is expected to be minimal EUR 1.34.
