Nido Living has launched its second project in Madrid and fourth in Spain with Nido Príncipe Pio.
Nido Príncipe Pío offers a variety of room types, including private rooms with large beds, desks, TVs, and private or shared bathroom facilities. There are also shared rooms available for friends to book together. The accommodation includes shared kitchens and studios with private kitchens.
Nido Príncipe Pío offers a wide range of services and facilities, including 24-hour security, maintenance, cleaning, laundry, fast WiFi, a fully equipped gym, restaurant, private dining room, and study and coworking spaces. The centre is designed to promote wellness through biophilic design and sustainability standards.
As a flex living space, Nido Príncipe Pío also includes common areas that foster community and leisure time, such as a swimming pool and rooftop terraces, fitness and games rooms, a cinema.
The launch of Nido Príncipe Pío follows a €120m investment by Nido who saw the opportunity to deliver much-needed accommodation in the city and purchased the high-profile building previously occupied by the Florida Norte hotel.
"Madrid offers great opportunities for growth in the sector because of the large number of students moving from their home city within the country and because it is one of the preferred destinations for international and Erasmus students," said Darren Gardner, CEO of Nido Living, "One of the challenges facing the sector is the scarcity of land on which to build in Madrid and Barcelona, so opening a scheme with so many places in the centre of the capital is a great opportunity to increase Madrid's prestige as one of Europe's great university cities Príncipe Pío and last month’s launch of Nido Malvarrosa in Valencia are part of our ambitious growth plan in Spain.”
"Our centres always ensure maximum comfort for students through the location, the design of the rooms and the services offered, but we also prioritise socialising. We understand the university stage as one of the most special, so our goal is to maximise this experience by offering quick attention, common areas that are committed to personal relationships and events throughout the year created according to the interests of the students,” said Blanca Medina, Residence Manager of Nido Living in Madrid.
