MDR acquires state broadcasting centre in Magdeburg (DE)

The public broadcaster Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk (MDR) is purchasing the broadcasting centre in Magdeburg from the Commerz Real closed-end real estate fund CFB 121. MDR had leased the property since 1998. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

 

Heiko Szczodrowski, divisional head Asset Structuring Portfolio Management at Commerz Real, commented: "For our investors, the sale is the successful conclusion to an investment that has developed in line with the prognoses."

 

CFB 121 fund was issued in 1998 as a classical leasing fund and has a volume of c. €61.4m.
