Marriott International has signed an agreement with Valdarke d.o.o. to bring an Autograph Collection resort to the island of Cres in Croatia.
Expected to open in the second quarter of 2024. Plans for the seaside resort include 49 rooms and suites, two outdoor pools, a beach area with a bar, various dining options, and a spa.
The hotel is planned to implement a sleek, contemporary exterior design with an interior concept inspired by the relaxed old village ambience and coloured houses of Grad Cres, inspired by the Venetian influence with ample use of stone and other natural materials.
The hotel will be easily accessible by road and ferry ride from Istria Peninsula or Island of Krk or Rijeka International Airport. Other international airports include Pula International Airport, Ljubljana International Airport and Zagreb International Airport.
“We are delighted to announce cooperation with Valdarke d.o.o. to bring the first hotel representing our Exactly Like Nothing Else distinctive Autograph Collection brand to the island of Cres. This deal reinforces the demand we’re seeing for international hotel brands in the region as well as the development of Marriott Bonvoy’s resort properties in Croatia.
