According to the Telegraph, Lidl has announced that it is looking to move into new headquarters in the UK, which could be more than three times the size of its current ones. Lidl's sales have been growing rapidly in the UK since the German retailer entered the market in 1994.
Lidl’s existing offices in Wimbledon cover 38,000 ft², but the new site the discount retailer is looking for in the south east of England could be up to 150,000 ft².
In an interview with the Telegraph last November, Ronny Gottschlich, the Managing Director of Lidl in the UK, said that Lidl had plans to expand to 1,500 stores.
