Leading Cities Invest has acquired a new sustainable office building project in Lille. The 5-storey property, known as the Panorama building, will comprise three connecting building parts located on the bank of a canal. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The structure, frame and scaffolding will be fully made from wood and will be erected on top of the two-story concrete base in the parking level, ground floor and first floor. Roofs and terraces have greeneries, while a “hanging garden” with an area of around 2,300m² will be set in the central part of the building. The scheme will benefit from 248 parking spaces on the ground floor and first floor. Circa10% of the parking spaces are intended for electric cars. This ambitious sustainable project with almost 6,000m² of office space, a restaurant, cafeteria, fitness rooms and storage and archive rooms is expected to be completed by 2023. The building will be seeking BREEAM Very Good and BBCA certifications.
The Panorama building will be located in the “Quai 22” district in the northwest of Lille. It will enjoy close proximity to the “Lille Center”, “Euralille” and its two TGV train stations. The old town of Lille and the “Grands Boulevards” submarket are also within easy reach.
