Montigo Resorts, Somerset, at Charlton House has opened in Shepton Mallet, in the Mendip District of Somerset, England.
The Regency period estate, featuring a 28-room country house hotel and spa, three restaurants, and gardens, is heralding its new future following its recent acquisition by KOP Limited.
Since purchasing the estate in March this year, considerable investment, and effort to improve the facilities has already been made by KOP Limited, using local businesses and materials wherever possible, with even more stunning restorative refurbishments still to come.
There are three on-site dining options: a botanical conservatory restaurant, a bistro, and an al fresco bar and grill. The hotel also offers a thermal spa with a bathhouse, therapy treatment rooms and a fitness centre. Outdoor spaces include Regency Orangery, a folly, and Charlton’s apple orchard.
