The KanAm Grund Group has acquired a modern office building in Barcelona for one of its special real estate funds in a share deal. The property comprising circa 8,400m² is located on Carrer de Tanger 36, one of the coveted main office axes in the submarket of the 22@district. The tenant is the Spanish branch of one of the world's largest online retailer. In addition to the announced LEED Gold sustainability certificate, the asset already has positive sustainability aspects such as its central location and very good connection to local public transport, as well as being easily accessible on foot and by bicycle.
The property is part of the Europe Select Fund portfolio for institutional investors. In addition to Spain, this special real estate fund is 84.8% invested in office properties, in Great Britain, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and Germany. The purchase price was not disclosed.
