Jaco Reijrink (58) will resign as member of the Board of Bouwfonds with effect from 1 January, 2006. In the past eight years, Reijrink has made a significant contribution to Bouwfonds' development towards a major European real estate corporation. Reijrink is responsible for Bouwfonds Hypotheken (Mortgage Loans) and Bouwfonds Asset Management as well as for the divisions Treasury & Funding, ICT and Risk Management.
The recently announced separation of the Mortgage Loans division as well as the call option for Bouwfonds shares that was effected in April 2005 have led to a reorganization of the actual management structure of Bouwfonds. In the future, the company will be managed by the present CEO and his management team. To facilitate this management reorganization, Reijrink decided to resign as member of the Board with effect from 1 January, 2006.
Reijrink intends to focus on advisory, management and supervisory activities in the future. Previously, Reijrink was senior partner of Ernst & Young, member of the Board of SNS Bank and Chairman of the Board of Banque de Suez Nederland.
