GVA, advised by international law firm Pinsent Masons, is to relocate to a new London headquarters following its agreement to lease 50,000 ft² (approx. 4,645 m²) of workspace at 65 Gresham Street in the City of London.
The commercial property adviser has agreed to take a new 10-year sublease from JP Morgan for two floors of the building, which will accommodate nearly all of its 500-strong London workforce. The relocation will take advantage of an impending lease expiring at the firm’s existing 10 Stratton Street HQ, with the move completing by 2015.
The new, contemporary office will greatly improve on its existing arrangements by meeting the needs of its London-based staff under one roof and on fewer floors to increase integration and an agile working ethos. A further 5,000 ft² (approx. 464 m²) office will also be retained in the West End, although details of its exact location are yet to be confirmed.
Mike Reid of Pinsent Masons, who advised GVA, comments: “We were delighted to assist GVA with this hugely important part of their UK growth strategy. Being selected by an expert in the City letting market in their own right is a great endorsement of the strength of our City letting practice.”
Tony Joyce of GVA adds: “This move will form an essential component in our wider UK growth strategy, and a global hub for our growing international reach. As client and business needs advance, GVA needs to become lighter on its feet. The wider influence of our new head office will be transformational for the business. Pinsent Masons advice was instrumental in the successful completion of this letting.”
