Craft, the latest project by Ghelamco in Katowice, has received an occupancy permit.
The 13-story structure adds 26,700m2 of office space to the local market's stock. It includes six terraces, one of which is on the roof. The construction began in late 2020. Craft's interiors are equipped with anti-pandemic solutions, such as virucidal UV lamps in elevators and air handling units. The office building includes charging stations for electric cars, as well as bicycle parking with facilities – locker rooms and showers. Drivers will have 218 parking spaces in the underground garage and an additional 28 in front of the building.
It will be the first office building in a regional city in Central and Eastern Europe to boast a SmartScore certification, and will also be the first in Katowice to be rated for technological advancement under the WiredScore system. In addition, the investment will be certified under the BREEAM, WELL and "Obiekt bez barier" systems.
The office building's design was created by the Katowice-based studio Czora & Czora. Craft is located at the junction of ul. Chorzowska and ul. Sciegiennego, next to Silesia City Center and in close proximity to Spodek.
JLL has been appointed as the leasing agent.
