Haitong Securities Co., Ltd, one of the largest securities companies in China, and Fortis Investment Management, the asset manager of the Fortis group, received today a license from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to establish an investment management joint venture, Fortis Haitong Investment Management.
Fortis Investment Management will initially own 33%, rising to 49% after 3 years of operation. Fortis Haitong Investment Management will offer mutual funds investing in the local A-share market of Chinese investors.
