The EU15 external current account recorded a surplus of 14.7 billion euro in the third quarter of 2002, as compared with a deficit of 0.5 billion euro in the third quarter of 2001 and a surplus of 7.0 billion euro in the second quarter of 2002.
In the third quarter of 2002 the EU15 external balance of trade in services recorded a surplus of 5.9 billion euro as compared with a surplus of 0.9 billion euro in the third quarter of 2001 and a surplus of 5.0 billion euro in the second quarter of 2002.
