According to a study by the La Tribune, there has been a dramatic drop in new office space rentals during 2002 compared to pervious years. In 2000 total new office space rentals amounted to 2.8 mln m2, in 2001 1.9 mln m2 and in 2002 1.5 mln m2.

It seems that all real estate categories have come to a standstill. Under the effects of the economic crisis, all major movements within the real estate sector have practically stopped and clients are taking their time to decide and negotiate more favorable conditions. It is expected that rental prices may drop by another 10%.
