Court agrees to union benefits at dismissal

The Dutch court has said not to object to property developer Ballast Nedam to allot a higher dismissal-fee to union members than to non-members. Yesterday, the judge conferred on all counts.

The Dutch court has said not to object to property developer Ballast Nedam to allot a higher dismissal-fee to union members than to non-members. Yesterday, the judge conferred on all counts. A group of non-organized employees had sued the company. Fourty union-members that were layed-off during a reorganization were awarded a dismissal-fee of one months salary above the regular fee that was negotiated in the social plan for all two-hundred employees.
