Capital & Regional unit buys Telford and Slough retail parks for 180m (UK)

Capital & Regional plc said The Junction, the retail park owner and operator, in which it has a 27.3% interest, has bought Telford Forge retail park and Slough retail park for £180m.

The Junction now owns 19 retail parks bringing total assets to £1.2bn and more than 3.9m square feet of floorspace.

At Telford, tenants on the 315,000 square foot park include Sainsbury's, Next, TK Maxx, Arcadia, Boots and JJB.

Slough retail park was bought from Land Securities for £75m. The retail park, which has a bulky good planning consent, comprises 150,000 square feet and is occupied by DFS, Homebase, Wickes, MFI, Harveys, Furniture Land and Land of Leather.
