Bart Bleker MSc. (59) will resign as a member of the Board of Directors of Bouwfonds from 1 September, 2005. During the twelve years at Bouwfonds, Bleker has played an important part in the development of Bouwfonds into a leading real estate company in Europe. Bleker was responsible for Bouwfonds Property Development, Bouwfonds Fund Management, Corporate Communications and Facilities.
After having been active in various functions for 35 years, Bleker has made a conscious decision for a different balance in working and living.
The motive of his resignment is the recently announced separation of Bouwfonds' Mortgage division and the following renewal of Bouwfonds' strategy. Being the eldest member of the Board of Directors, Bleker considers this the right moment to let someone else take over his place at the top of the organization.
After his resignment, Bleker will primarily occupy himself with advisory, administrative and supervisory activities.
