Altera acquires convenience centre Nieuw Sloten in Amsterdam (NL)

Altera Vastgoed NV (Altera) has purchased the convenience centre Nieuw Sloten in Amsterdam. Nieuw Sloten has a total surface area of around 5,800m² and good free parking facilities in the direct vicinity.

 

It concerns a convenience centre with two supermarkets (Albert Heijn and Dirk van den Broek) and fifteen retail units, which have mostly been let to shops for daily necessities, including a bakery, butcher, fishmonger and drugstore. The centre is located in the Nieuw Sloten neighbourhood of the Amsterdam New West district. Its catchment area is largely made up of households with children.

 

Jaap van der Bijl, CEO Altera: “The mix and variety of national and local retailers provide a contribution to the social cohesion and attractiveness of community centre Nieuw Sloten. The centre is fully let and constitutes an investment that aligns with our strategy: a higher direct return while being sustainable and less vulnerable to e-commerce and business cycles.
