Aareal Asset Management: Special funds volume increases to 630 million (DE)

Aareal Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft, a real estate investment management company belonging to the Aareal Asset Management Group, has acquired a portfolio valued at around €60 million for a special real estate fund launched in April exclusively for a German insurance group. It includes 14 properties scheduled for various types of use which are located in Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna. This increases the total value of assets managed by Aareal Immobilien Kapitalanlagengesellschaft to €630 million.

Aareal Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft launches institutional real estate funds established as open-ended separate accounts (Special funds) in accordance with German investment law. Fund assets are invested internationally, broadly diversified across a range of property types.

Aareal Immobilien KAG focuses on German institutional investors, but also has international clients. The company also manages the Aareal Nordic Fund, which focuses on property in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, and has a planned investment volume of €250 million. In the last six years, it has invested over €2 billion.
