Adjacent to the E4 and E6 motorways in eastern Landskrona (Bilrutan 5), Wihlborgs is set to build a 9,600m2 facility for the logistics company Dachser. The lease is for 15 years with occupancy at the end of 2024.
The facility will consist of a cross-dock terminal, a logistics warehouse and offices, and will be certified in accordance with SGBC Gold. Solar power systems will be installed on the roof. The investment amounts to €14.2m including land value.
The building will take up about two-thirds of the plot’s land, with the opportunity for further expansion.
Landskrona is one of Sweden’s best logistics locations, and several major companies have established themselves in the town in recent years.
“We are growing too large for our current premises and are now taking a step toward the continued development of our operations in southern Sweden together with Wihlborgs. The new branch will be about three times as large as the current branch and we will have the opportunity to expand even further in the future,” said Joakim Friberg, Branch Manager at Dachser Sweden’s branch in Malmo.
“We welcome Dachser and its employees to Landskrona. We are delighted and proud that another company has chosen Landskrona,” said Torkild Strandberg (L), Chairman of the Municipal Council in the city of Landskrona.
“This will be a first step in developing one of many well-positioned properties in the area with a strategically favourable location and considerable potential. The new facility will have high sustainability requirements and will make efficient use of the site with a stable and long-term tenant,” said Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
