Valmet Automotive’s new ?ary factory boosts electromobility with Panattoni’s sustainable build

Valmet Automotive has unveiled a state-of-the-art manufacturing and logistics facility in Żary, Poland, developed by Panattoni, the world’s most active industrial real estate developer. The 8,800 m² build-to-suit (BTS) facility is designed to meet the growing demand for advanced aerodynamic components that enhance vehicle efficiency, particularly in electric mobility.

The expansion of the Żary plant will significantly increase production capacity and create 350 new jobs, contributing to local economic development. The facility is tailored to Valmet Automotive's specific requirements, with a flexible layout designed for rapid adaptation to future production and logistics changes. It is also on track to receive BREEAM Excellent certification, highlighting its commitment to sustainability.

“In the era of electromobility, aerodynamic components have become a true game-changer. In Żary, we are already developing and implementing technologies that will shape the future of the automotive industry,” says Remigiusz Grześkowiak, Senior Vice President at Valmet Automotive.

“Completing this investment results from close cooperation between Valmet Automotive and Panattoni’s BTS division. The developer understood our needs, adapting the project to our specific company requirements and efficiently managing the expansion process alongside the existing operations,” says Patryk Rudkiewicz, Plant Manager at Valmet Automotive.

“The investment in Żary is an excellent example of how cities outside major industrial centres can play a crucial role in advanced manufacturing development,” emphasises Marek Foryński, BTS Managing Director at Panattoni.

For investors and developers, the Żary facility signals an important trend: medium-sized cities are becoming increasingly attractive hubs for advanced industrial operations. Lower operational costs, strong talent pools, and strategic location near the German border make Żary a compelling choice for long-term investment in automotive and tech-related manufacturing.
