UXCO began construction on the €95m ECLA residence in Lille (FR)

UXCO Group, investor, developer and operator of student housing and co-living real estate (PBSA), laid the first stone of the future ECLA residence in Lille. This ceremony marked the start of the construction work of an investment of €95m.

After a remarkably successful start to the academic year with close to 100% occupancy at their residences, UXCO Group and its development entity Oceanis Promotion, have now laid the first stone of the future ECLA residence in Lomme, in the greater Lille area.

Olivier Caremelle, Mayor of Lomme and Senator Audrey Linkenheld attended the event, along with numerous local representatives and partners. In partnership with La Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Depots Group - Public Financial Institution) and Societe Generale, for the financing, this new project represents a total investment of €95m. Its opening in 2026 will bring around 800 additional beds to a region experiencing significant shortages in the student accommodation market.

Designed and developed by the development entity of UXCO Group, Oceanis, this new residence will cover a total area of over 18,000m2, including 2,000m2 of common spaces with high-quality amenities enabling students and young professionals who live there to thrive.

UXCO Group pays particular attention to sustainability and innovation in its residences. ECLA Lille will therefore be built in line with strict environmental standards, using low-impact materials and complying best in class ESG regulations including BREEAM certification.
