TAM Group has formally unveiled Sture – its 104,000m2 transformation in central Stockholm – by revealing that the renowned Bangska Palace is to be restored as part of the scheme.
Located in the heart of the exclusive Stureplan district at the top of luxury retail street Biblioteksgaten, Sture is bringing together 16 historically significant ‘houses’ to deliver a cohesive, future-proofed hub for premium office space, luxury retail, high end hospitality and cultural experiences. The first phase is scheduled to open in late 2026, marking a major milestone for Stockholm’s real estate landscape.
The next phase of works will see the 7,800m2 Bangska Palace, a key element of Sture, undergo a meticulous restoration, reviving its original 19th Century façade while creating modern offices, a new rooftop terrace and prime retail space that will house the scheme’s anchor tenant.
Developed by TAM Group and backed by ADIA, Sture is a heritage-led commercial district, designed for contemporary occupiers and visitors. This is a flagship mixed-use project for Stockholm, delivering a landmark transformation for the Swedish capital. With a direct link to Ostermalmstorg metro station and the removal of an outdated multi-storey car park, Sture will see the creation of a pedestrian-friendly public realm that underlines the long-term vision for the district.
ESG is embedded throughout Sture, with LEED Platinum certification in progress and its own 100-point sustainability manifesto ensuring best practices throughout the scheme.
Andreas Philipson, project manager at TAM Group, said: “Sture is a landmark development for central Stockholm, delivering world-class commercial space that is both sympathetic to local heritage and embracing modern sustainability standards. Sture’s creation of a forward-looking mixed-use destination, alongside the restoration of the historic Bangska Palace and a new public realm, is redefining best-in-class urban renewal. With Sture already attracting considerable interest from potential occupiers, it is rapidly shaping up to be one of Europe’s most exciting city centre quarters.”
