T A Fisher acquired a prominent site previously occupied by Jewson Builders Merchants. The c. 2,630m2 site, situated on the main thoroughfare just before the bridge over the River Thames into Wallingford, is set for an exciting transformation.
Following the closure of Jewson earlier this year, T A Fisher has secured the site with plans to transform it into a high-quality residential scheme. The development will feature approximately 15 new homes, thoughtfully designed to harmonise with the historical context of The Street.
A key aspect of the proposed redevelopment is the retention and integration of the original brick and flint-listed building on the frontage, preserving the site’s historical significance and charm. This aligns with T A Fisher’s approach to developments and conversions, maintaining the area’s architectural heritage while delivering modern, desirable living spaces wherever possible.
Development Director Steve Davies said, “We are delighted to have acquired this cracking little site in the heart of historic Crowmarsh Gifford and look forward to working with our design team and local stakeholders to transform this redundant yard into something special.”
