Sonar Real Estate has secured a new lease agreement for 1,317 m² of office space at THE SQUAIRE, one of Germany’s most prestigious commercial properties, located at Frankfurt Airport. The new tenant, Lagardère Travel Retail, will occupy space on Level 8 of the iconic building, further diversifying its high-profile tenant mix.
Sonar Real Estate, appointed as asset manager by the property’s internationally active owner, is overseeing operations at THE SQUAIRE, which offers a 140,000 m² multifunctional environment. Lagardère Travel Retail, a global leader in retail and hospitality solutions for transport hubs, is set to move in following refurbishment works.

THE SQUAIRE is directly linked to Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport via a pedestrian walkway and features an integrated ICE railway station, providing seamless connectivity. Positioned along the A3 motorway and B43 federal highway, the building sits at the Frankfurt interchange, one of Europe’s busiest transport hubs.
The property’s diverse tenant roster includes KPMG, Michelin, Atos, Porsche, Hilton, and Nemak, reflecting its status as a leading commercial address. The rental mix consists of 65% office space, 30% hotel, and 5% retail and hospitality areas, making it one of Germany’s most versatile business locations.

Legal advisory for the landlord was provided by FPS Rechtsanwälte, while architectural and technical oversight was managed by Ninic Architects and Drees & Sommer. Lease negotiations were facilitated by PROKS Real Estate and Schier Real Estate, representing the property owner. JLL advised Lagardère Travel Retail Deutschland, securing the transaction on behalf of the tenant.
