The retail park in Mosnita, a town located near the large urban centre of Timisoara, was opened to customers. The facility has an area of 8,500m2. it is almost fully rented. The BREEAM-certified park is the sixth facility in Scallier's Romanian portfolio.
“So far, we have built and commercialized facilities in Rosiorii de Vede, Focsani, Vaslui, Timisoara and Turda. In total, it is over 50,000m2. commercial rentable space that we delivered to the Romanian markets of small and medium-sized cities. The leasing level of the entire existing volume of space exceeds 95%. At the same time, we are working on additional locations - we have secured several plots and in the coming months we will start the construction of additional commercial properties," emphasizes Adrian Aleman, the director responsible for the development of retail parks in Scallier.
“DM Drogerie, TEDi, Fressnapf, Sportisimo, Numero Uno, Animax, Xpress are chain tenants who have their stores in the new facility. The tenants also include interior design stores, as well as a fitness club of the dynamically developing Stay Fit chain. The attractiveness of the location is complemented by a currency exchange office, a pharmacy, a cafe, and a local restaurant. Right next to the facility, there are Lidl and Penny Market grocery stores. In total, there are several thousand square meters of trade. This guarantees the creation of a traditionally commercial location that will remain in the minds of local residents for many years and it will be a place to shop and spend time for all age groups," emphasized Wojciech Jurga, Managing Partner at Scallier responsible for the company's development on the Romanian market.
“As investors, we are proud of another completed project and we are glad that a few years ago we believed, took the investment risk, and financed the activities of Scallier, with which we are opening further parks together. The growth rate of the Romanian market in 2022, which reached 4.8% and was largely driven by the increase in consumption, placed the country among the European leaders in terms of growth dynamics. We plan long-term development in Romania and systematically increase our capital commitment. We will invest in new locations and new commercial projects, the construction of which will start soon," said Andrzej Taraszkiewicz from the Supervisory Board of RPI, which is the park's direct investor.
