The Student Accommodation Annual Report 2017/18 provides a unique insight into the trends in demand, supply and investment during the sector’s year to date.Highlights include: 1) there are now 602,000 purpose-built bed spaces available to students for the 2017/18 academic year; 2) 87% of all new bed spaces for 2017/18 have been delivered by the private sector; 3) average headline weekly rental growth between 2016 and 2017 has been 2.9%; 4) a record number of 30,000 new bed spaces have been delivered in 2017.
