Radisson Hotel Group has opened its first hotel under the Radisson brand in France. The former Park Inn property has undergone an extensive renovation and reopened as the Radisson Hotel Nice Airport, featuring Scandinavian design along with artwork tributes to the French city.
The 151-room hotel is located in the centre of the Arénas district and the Eco-Vallée, close to the airport terminal and opposite the city’s future congress centre. New to the property is restaurant L’Azur Bistrot Niçois, located next to the pool with a large terrace for alfresco dining. Led by chef Gaëtan Debes, the restaurant offers modern Mediterranean dishes, with several vegetarian and vegan options. Leisure facilities include an outdoor pool with a bar and a brand-new fitness room with water rower machines made from sustainable wood and a self-propelled treadmill.
The property has over 390m² of meetings and events facilities across six meeting rooms, along with an outdoor space which can be reserved for private events of up to 50 guests. The hotel says it expects to receive the Green Key eco-label for commitments to sustainability and the environment.
Tom Flanagan Karttunen, area senior VP Northern and Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, commented: “We are delighted to introduce the Radisson brand to France at such a significant location. Radisson Hotel Nice Airport has undergone major renovations to create the ideal place to stay, whether as part of an ongoing journey or as a base to explore Nice and the surrounding Riviera.”
Fabien Gentou, general manager of Radisson Hotel Nice Airport, added:“We are proud of the transformation of Radisson Nice Hotel Airport and look forward to hosting guests in our new, comfortable rooms. As part of Radisson Hotel Group, we can deliver exceptional and globally-recognized experiences with a local touch. We are also proud of using 100% renewable energy for our heating and cooling system.”
