Patron Capital, the pan-European institutional investor focused on property-backed investments, has appointed Henry Randolph as Partner, Credit, to lead the firm’s expansion into real estate debt. The strategic hire signals Patron’s move to capitalise on emerging credit opportunities across the European property market as traditional lenders retrench.
Randolph joins from CBRE, where he held a senior position within the Capital Advisors’ Lending Platform, responsible for originating and underwriting a range of senior debt facilities in the UK. Prior to this, he was part of the Property Debt Finance team at Barclays. With 15 years of industry experience, he brings deep expertise to a sector increasingly reliant on alternative capital sources.
In his new role, Randolph will work closely with Patron’s senior leadership to build a dedicated real estate credit platform. The firm, known for its value-add and opportunistic strategies, will leverage its €bn investor base and its current fund, Patron Capital, L.P. VII, to underwrite and fund these new opportunities. Additional capital partners are also in discussions to support the venture.
