PATRIZIA has officially launched CiviSmart, a leading smart public lighting platform, consolidating three key Italian companies: Ottima, Selettra, and Atlantico. With more than 380,000 light points across 200 municipalities, CiviSmart is poised to play a pivotal role in Italy’s energy transition and urban digitalisation. The launch follows significant investments by PATRIZIA’s Smart City Infrastructure Fund (SCIF) since 2022, marking a major milestone in the firm’s commitment to advancing sustainable urban infrastructure.
To lead the next phase of expansion, Riccardo Amoroso, appointed CEO of CiviSmart, will oversee the company's growth in Italy and abroad. “I firmly believe in technology and innovation, which, combined with sustainability, including economic sustainability, represent the true engine of the energy transition. CiviSmart is already making strides beyond lighting, offering a full suite of smart city solutions. In Chioggia, the company has implemented smart traffic management, video analytics, and a citywide LoRaWAN network, supporting IoT services like environmental monitoring and smart parking. The platform is also expanding its influence in Venice, where it manages over 450 public buildings integrating lighting, energy efficiency, and smart monitoring. In Puglia, CiviSmart is leading the development of 30 Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB), advancing the use of renewable energy and improving infrastructure.
The launch of CiviSmart aligns with PATRIZIA’s long-term strategy to build scalable, high-value infrastructure platforms.
