Panattoni has purchased over 40,000m2 and is to develop Panattoni Park Bierun I just 2 km from the Stellantis car factory. The project will be an excellent option for automotive subcontractors and may also serve as a centre for e-commerce, logistics and industry.
Panattoni has already delivered two parks inBierun with a total combined area of 97,000m2. This space has been fully leased, demonstrating the attraction of the location. Moreover, Action occupies a BTS centre of over 60,000m2 and Panattoni is also completing work on a factory for the Hager Group. Now the developer is to construct Panattoni Park Bierun I with an area of 18,000m2. The park will benefit from being just 2 km from a Stellantis car factory and thus will be a convenient location for subcontractors to run buffer warehousing for the components they supply to the factory.
“The Silesia region has for many years been strengthening its position as the centre of the Polish automotive industry, attracting giants from both Europe and the rest of the world. Around Bieruń, 23,000m2 has already been leased by leading automotive component suppliers from the EMEA region and for them, a key factor was how close the Stellantis factory is. This demonstrates the huge potential that the factory gives the region and Panattoni Park Bierun I will allow this potential to be even more effectively utilised,” said Marek Dobrzycki, the Managing Director of Panattoni.
The centre will also benefit from being near the A4 motorway and the S1 expressway. It will also have easy access to the A1. This means the centre will be able to serve both the Polish market as well as international operations. The well-connected location will help further the development of many different industries.
“Tenants and investors appreciate the well-developed infrastructure, the easy access to skilled labour and the support local authorities give to businesses. All these advantages mean that Silesia is effectively transforming itself from a mining area into a centre for Polish industry where technologically-advanced production facilities, distribution centres and logistics parks are being built. The delivery of 2,500,000m2 is a superb figure but it is also a sign of further strategic developments to come,” added Marek Dobrzycki.
In Silesia, the developer is planning further developments that also include Panattoni Park Katowice Airport with over 210,000m2, which is to be the largest centre under one roof in the region.
