Neptune, a joint venture between Neinver and Nuveen Real Estate, has obtained the final irrevocable permit for the development of Amsterdam The Style Outlets in the Netherlands. The outlet centre is scheduled to open in autumn 2020, and construction works are now underway. The outlet centre will feature 115 stores set across 19,000m² GLA with premium Dutch and international brands and a high-end environment inspired by traditional Dutch architecture. It will be strategically located in the Randstad, one of the wealthiest and most densely populated regions of Europe, 10 minutes away from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and with easy access to the Dutch capital and Haarlem. The opening of the centre will create around 600 direct jobs onsite.
Amsterdam The Style Outlets is being developed in accordance with high sustainability standards, and the centre is in the process of earning BREEAM certification. The scheme will become Neptune’s first outlet centre in the Netherlands and the 14th European asset in the JV portfolio.
