NCC has entered into an agreement to acquire operations of the Peab-owned company Nordisk Fundamentering. Following the takeover NCC will be among the leading players in the foundation market in Norway. The purchase price was undisclosed.
NCC is taking over the personnel and machinery belonging to Nordisk Fundamentering AS. Until the Competitions Authority has approved the takeover, Nordisk Fundamentering will continue as a separate company. After the takeover of the business has been approved, nearly 80 employees in Nordisk Fundamentering AS will be transferred to Hercules in NCC Industry AS.

NCC is taking over the personnel and equipment of Nordisk Fundamentering AS, and until the Norwegian Competition Authority has approved the takeover, Nordisk Fundamentering will continue to conduct foundation operations. Following approval of the takeover of the company, nearly 80 employees in Nordisk Fundamentering AS will be transferred to NCC Industry AS and will be part of the Hercules Fundamentering unit.
Following this acquisition NCC will be among the largest players in the Norwegian foundation market. The Competition Authority is expected to approve the acquisition so that the business can be taken over in Q4 2017.
NCC's strategy is to be a central player in the Norwegian foundation market.

Nordisk Fundamentering AS is one of Norway's biggest players in the field of foundation construction. The company has offices in Enebakk, just outside Oslo, and in Trondheim. Hercules Fundamentering in NCC Industry has offices in Oslo and Bodø.
