Muse Developments selected to carry out £100 million South Shields masterplan (UK)

Muse Developments - one of the country's leading names in property development and urban regeneration has been selected to deliver the £100 million (approx. €116 million) masterplan which aims to transform South Shields.

 

Muse is a national developer best known in the North East for its transformation of Newcastle's Quayside. More recently the company was Durham City's partner in the Walkergate development, including a cafe, bars and restaurants as well as 35 apartments and a 100-bedroom hotel. Muse is currently working with Stockton Council to deliver a £300 million mixed use development on the Northshore site.


Councillor Iain Malcolm, Leader of South Tyneside Council, said: "Muse's track record of delivering successful town center regeneration is second to none, and the company will bring further expertise, innovation and financial strength to our plans. South Shields 365 is an ambitious vision for a radical redevelopment and this appointment is a major step towards making the vision a reality."
