Colliers, the global professional services and investment management firm, has appointed Miro Karttunen as Managing Director of its Finnish operations, effective 1 August 2025. Karttunen’s leadership will be pivotal in scaling the company’s Property Management services across the Nordics, following the retirement of long-serving CEO Ari Vanhanen.
Karttunen brings deep regional experience, having led residential fund strategy at CapMan Real Estate and served as Managing Director at Newsec Property Asset Management, where he sharpened the firm’s Nordic strategy and operational performance. His appointment reflects Colliers’ intent to drive collaboration across Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, while cementing its leadership position in the region.

Vanhanen will remain with Colliers Finland in an advisory capacity through the end of 2025 to ensure a smooth transition. Karttunen will join the Colliers Nordic leadership team and work closely with regional counterparts to implement the group’s broader growth strategy.
