Management board change at Commerz Real (DE)

On May 15, 2012, Roland Holschuh, currently Head of Corporate Real Estate Management at Commerzbank AG, will take over the Real Estate Management responsibilities on the management board of Commerz Real AG, a fully-owned subsidiary of Commerzbank AG.

He will thus succeed Hans-Joachim Kühl, who is leaving the company. Hans-Joachim Kühl (44) has been on the management board of Commerz Real AG since the company was set up in September 2007. Previously, he was in charge of real estate acquisitions for the company's predecessor, Commerz Grundbesitz Investmentgesellschaft mbH. On the whole, he served the company for 14 years.

"Both as a board member and in his previous functions, Hans-Joachim Kühl successfully helped to advance the internationalization of the real estate portfolio of Commerz Real across funds. We are truly grateful for his achievements" said Jochen Klösges, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Commerz Real AG.

"In Roland Holschuh, we gained a superbly positioned successor. Having successfully operated in various areas of the real estate and finance business, he holds perfect credentials for the job of advancing the real estate business of Commerz Real."

When transferring to Commerzbank in 2009, Roland Holschuh (37) took over responsibility for managing the group's corporate real estate. His previous tasks focused on the successful consolidation of the international portfolios of Dresdner Bank and Commerzbank, a key value lever within the framework of the merger of the two banks.

Prior to that, Holschuh – a certified engineer for architecture/ urban planning who holds a masters of architecture and a degree in real estate portfolio management (ebs) – worked in strategic management consulting at The Boston Consulting Group GmbH, his core competence being real estate economy and financial services.
